Our speaker will be Dr. Tomas Walker, APRN, Director of Clinical Projects at Dexcom, Inc., where he leads research and development of the Artificial Pancreas. We will also announce winners of the chapter research grant and the continuing education scholarship during this ceremony.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, June 3, 6-8 pm, for our spring program. Kimberly A. Arguello, Esq., Legal Counsel to the Nevada State Board of Nursing, will speak on Medical and Recreational Marijuana-- Implications for Nevada Nurses. This is a timely topic that you won’t want to miss!
It is also time for the election of new officers. We are seeking nominations for vice-president, treasurer, UNLV counselor, and leadership succession committee. If you are interested in running for office, or would like to nominate another member, please contact our Leadership Succession Chair, Dr. Mary Bondmass, by March 20.
